Bavarian Crono
"At first the aim was to develop a
stainless steel watch case matching
the appearance and the charisma of
that special era of automobiles from
the Fifties and Sixties. The most
demanding task was the next step:
To transform the characteristic face
of the classic speedometers in
unparalleled details to the face of
the watches. During aging color and
surface of the original speedometers
change. To adopt this “natural” ageing
Bavarian Crono incorporated special
techniques for finishing the faces and
hands of the speedometer watches.
Special attention had to be given to
the minute hands. Their appearance
match the original archetypes of the
various Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, BMW,
Bugatti and Beetle automobiles. To keep
the original appearance of the hour hands
they are painted in black while the small
white peak guarantees easy reading"
